Southern Tasmanian Veteran Golfer's Association

Our Aim:

We offer the social experience and camaraderie to any golf loving persons who have a few hours to spare on most Mondays. We mainly aim to have fun and enjoy the company of others, although it is amazing the fierce competition that takes place in some groups, all for the major prize of a $10 bottle of wine, store voucher or some golf balls!

Welcome

The Southern Tasmanian Veteran Golfers’ Association (STVGA) is affiliated with the Australian Veteran Golfers’ Union and mostly plays at three courses every Monday (except for Public Holidays and a small Christmas break). We differ from most other Veteran Associations in adopting this three course format.

We play at almost all of the southern courses – from Orford in the east, to Oatlands in the north, to Ouse in the west and the Huon Valley in the south.

Clubs allow us to play at greatly reduced rates – average $18 (including a light lunch) at 9 hole courses and $25 at 18 hole courses.

Males (55 and over), who have a current Australian golf handicap, are eligible to join or play in our competitions.

Persons wishing to join can download an Application for Membership Form. Those who are unable to download the application form or wish to obtain programme details (or any other information) should contact our Secretary.
